During the trip southeast I noticed a real strange vibration on occasion. When I was cruising at 60 and left off the throttle just a little I could feel it, but then at higher speeds it didn't seem to be a problem. Didn't know if it was typical shovel engineered vibration or something worse. Got the rear wheel off getting the tire replaced so I thought I would look around a bit. Front mount bolt was slightly loose, but that upper mounting bolt was spinning freely. Pulled the tanks off and used a new nyloc nut, lock washer and RED loctite on it this time, as well as the mounting nuts from that bracket to the left side heads. Hopefully I'll be back on the road and will test it out, but I think this one is fixed.

I'm satisfied that you found the problem. If the top mount is loose, there will be no predicting the RPM ranges that the vibrations will occur.

Thanks Jack, I appreciate your expertise and knowledge. I knew something wasn't right and I'm glad I didn't let it go. Got the new tire back on tonight and will take it for a spin tomorrow.

Yes, it sure did. Hopefully it will never come loose!
